The Promise of for Ever Life

I'm really glad I got to know the Mighty, Marv'lous Jesus.
I'd been a bum, but now I know the Lov'r who never leaves us.
He left his life so we could live; I wish I could repay him,
But all he asks is that we do just lovingly obey him.

God did give his only Son;
Jesus gave his only Life.
When I receive them, I have won
The Promise of for ever life.

I'll spread to all whom I do meet the Love which Jesus gave me.
I'll tell with cheer and charity how my Love did save me.
He saved me from my total death — and lets me live for ever.
To spread the Goodness which he game, I always will endeavour.
